the person behind the label that interest me. If I like the person behind
the label, I usually like the designs."
ROARK
Not fashion itself or simple trendsetting is the origin of Andrew Steiger’s concept. The founder and creative director of ROARK basicly wants to emphasize a certain way of living and thinking.
Fashion is for Steiger and his team a vision beyond superficiality and status symbols. It is a tool to express himself. And you can feel it. The material and the attention to details of ROARK products show this philosophy. Although nobody has to discuss fashion to just feel comfortable and cozy in it.
Josephus Thimister
Josephus Melchios Thimister: his name is his agenda and as unusual as his background. Thimister’s origins are grounded in Russia, France and Belgium being influenced by Jewish, Orthodox, and Catholic religion.
He worked with Karl Lagerfeld and got Artistic Director of Balenciaga. In 1997 he founded his own Parisian label that includes both: his haute couture and ready to wear collection.
3 years later, Thimister joined the fashion group bvba „32“ that gathers names like Ann Deulemeester and Haider Ackermann.
His creations made of refined materials are calm but inconventional.
